How to look back on your notes and make a report for an appointment
2 min · Shown on a phone · Captions on · Transcript below
Tap the Story tab, where Insights lays out what you've logged in plain words. Switch to Timeline to see everything in order. Before an appointment, ask Pip for a report and say what it is for. Pip plans the report, then writes a draft from what you have logged. Edit it, then tap Export PDF.
Good to know: A report is a draft, so change anything you like. People in your village may be able to read your reports.

Everything you log adds up. In this video, see how Pip lays it out over time, then turn it into a report to take to your next appointment.
0:14Insights on the Story tab
Tap the Story tab. Insights lays out what you have logged, in plain words, so it's easier to notice what helps. Insights appear once you've logged about five observations within two weeks. Each card links back to what you logged, like a short walk before a calmer evening. Small things that help are easy to miss when you're in the middle of things. Swipe sideways to see more cards.
0:38Asking Pip about a card
Tap a card and Pip starts a chat about it. Ask what it means or what might help.
0:45The timeline
Switch to Timeline to see everything in order: observations, documents, conversations, appointments and more. Tap a chip to show just one kind.
0:55Starting a report
Got an appointment coming up? Just ask Pip for a report, or tap the plus button, then Generate report. Pip asks what it is for.
1:05Telling Pip about the appointment
Tell Pip about the appointment. For your GP or psychologist, Pip makes a Clinical Appointment Prep, a short summary they can read quickly. It all comes from what you have logged.
1:16Pip plans, then writes
Pip plans the report first and tells you where it is short on information. Say yes, and Pip writes it. This takes a minute or two.
1:25Editing the draft
Tap the report card to open it. It is a draft, so change anything you like. Tap a section to edit the words, or tap the refresh button to have Pip rewrite that section.
1:37Exporting a PDF
When it reads right, tap Export PDF to save, print or send it.
1:42Where your reports are kept
Your reports stay on the Me tab, under Reports. People in your village may be able to read them, depending on what you let them see, and Pip may still mention what's in them. A line a day is plenty to build the bigger picture.
Common questions
Is Pip a therapist or a doctor?
No. Pip is not a therapist, a counsellor or a doctor. It helps you organise, notice patterns and prepare. For medical questions, speak with your GP or your prescriber.
Does Pip ever get things wrong?
Yes. Pip can miss context or misread a pattern. Tell Pip when something is wrong, and it updates what it remembers. Treat its ideas as things to try, never as instructions.
What can a supporter see?
Only what you allow. You set nine categories to None, View or Full for each person. You can also hide a single item from chosen people.
Can I use the app in my language?
Yes. Write to Pip in the language you prefer, and Pip replies in that language. Reports are written in English by default, because services usually ask for it. Ask Pip if you want one in another language.
Still stuck? Our help page has more answers, and a real person reads every message.
